I’m from NYC and enjoy going to Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami Beach. So when I’m home I often order from Key Largo Fisheries because they are just as good and always fresh! I get the Jumbo or Colossal claws which are fantastic and easy to crack with a lot of crabmeat. The Key Lime Pie is also unbelievably delicious! My only complaint would be the high cost for shipping so I often wait for discount offers that offset the shipping costs to NYC.
We ordered to celebrate New Years's Eve at home. They were delivered in a cooler and everything was packed well and still cold cold! I read the directions, rinsed the claws, layered them on ice opened the delicious mustard sauce and we were eating in less than 15 minutes after delivery, They could not have been tastier! During the meal, we got online and ordered again for Valentine's Day delivery! I am thrilled we found such a wonderful place to order such delicious stone crabs from!
I’ve been ordering from KLF for 5 years. The stone crabs are delicious and the mustard is special. My wife and I live in Pittsburgh and they arrive next day. I’ve sent 10 pounds to eastern TX and they were perfect. Sent them to Louisiana and they are always on point.
I rarely write reviews but had to do it for these guys. My wife and I also visited them personally when in the Keys and the outdoor cafe was perfect. It’s on the ocean, local haul coming in daily, music, locals, and a beautiful store on site.
I’ve had the conch, stone crab, grouper, fish dip, crab soup, snapper, the KL pie- and other items. I even bought a stone crab cracker thing so I could be more efficient and order more often.
I’d probably live on the dock if they’d let me.
