I placed my first order with Key Largo Fisheries over the weekend for a Tuesday delivery and everything turned out exquisite. The jumbo crab claws were very very large and tasty, and the quantity was perfect. I ordered a bunch of other stuff as well, including lobster tails, crab cakes, and the conch salad. I am thrilled with everything! Shipping was very reasonable as far as I’m concerned and I had no problem with that. I’m in California and my order literally shipped in the early evening and arrived at my door at 9 in the morning! Enough to say, my whole experience was A++ and I will absolutely be a repeat customer. Thanks KLF! :)
I ordered 3 pounds of jumbo stone crabs. I weighed them when they arrived and they only weighed 2 pounds 12 ounces. The company did refund me the price for 4 ounces that I did not receive. I would recommend weighing the stone crabs upon arrival and taking a picture of them on the scale.
We weight all of our crab before they are put in the shipping bags. We always give above the lbs because we know that in shipping, some water weight may drain out of the claws. The Jumbos are larger, with large cavities, and this could have happened. We generally account for this when we weigh them, and swe are orry that you did not recieve the full amount. As you can see, we stand by our word and appreciate your reply. Thank you for being one of our great customers and we will strive to do better.
