Our fresh lobsters are harvested the day before you get them. Fresh lobster should be cooked within 24 hours of receiving to prevent their meat from turning grey due to oxidation of the lobster blood.
Florida Spiny Lobster, also known as Caribbean Lobster, is a crustacean related to crabs, shrimp, and crayfish. Spiny lobsters are known for the numerous spines on their bodies. Unlike Maine lobsters, spiny lobsters house most of their meat in their tails. Florida's Spiny Lobster season is from August to the end of March. The lobsters are harvested off the Florida coast & the Florida Keys in 6-300 feet of water.

I have never bought any lobster which is already dead and shipped on ice. I will never again buy it from this place.
Thank for your review. Our Florida Lobster come directly from the warm waters of the Florida Keys and are not shipped LIVE like its cousin in Maine. Our lobsters come directly off the boat live, and most of them are already destined to a shipping order. Florida lobsters are humanely prepared and put on ice (cold packs for shipping) which keeps them fresh. We do not freeze them; so, your product is very FRESH upon arrival, so try eating them within 24-48 hours. We ship them FRESH not LIVE, and assure the fresh and savory taste.
PLEASE NOTE: The majority of reputable suppliers will deliver Florida Lobster this way, it is the proper shipping method.

Although we will give some credit to the shipping company for getting it on time, we definitely had some worries about getting all the orders packed and shipped during the hurricane.
